Is it?

Too Much Love Will Kill You
Queen

I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone for much too long

Ooh,

I feel like no one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been looking back to find where I went wrong

Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover and the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster 'cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you every time

I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down,

Oooh..

How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose,

Oh yeah...

Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime

Too much love will kill you every time
Yeah too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end
In the end...

A.Samad Said's Marvel.

Datuk Dr. A. Samad Said. Does his name ring a bell in your head? Think harder if he doesn't. Anyway, if he still can't access the registry inside your brain then forget it. He's our very own Sasterawan Negara, who obtained great achievements and his contribution has helped and bring up the value of Malay literature.

Adik was a big fan of him. She once told me that A.Samad Said's works has always been her inspiration. Adik was twice honoured as the best poem writer at her school before, and now she's doing well at campus, pursuing her studies in the same thing - (scriptwriting, filming and broadcasting)

Well, that's all for mukadimah. Straight away to the content of my post today. Let's read this beautiful and priceless words carved by A.Samad Said, titled Tetamu Senja. Adik loved this piece so much and so do I. (the bold part was my favourite line..)

_______ TETAMU SENJA __________
Kita datang ini hanya sebagai tetamu senja
Bila cukup detik kembalilah kita kepadaNya
Kita datang ini
Kosong tangan kosong dada
Bila pulang nanti
Bawa dosa bawa pahala
Pada tetamu yang datang dan
Kenal jalan pulang
Bawalah bakti mesra
Kepada Tuhan kepada insan
Pada tetamu yang datang
Dan lupa jalan pulang
Usahlah derhaka pula
Pada Tuhan pada insan
Bila kita lihat manusia lupa tempat
Atau segera sesat
Puja darjat Puja pangkat
Segera kita insaf kita ini punya Kiblat
Segera kita insaf kita ini punya tekad
Bila kita lihat manusia terbiar larat
Hingga mesti merempat
Ke laut biru ke kuning darat
Harus kita lekas sedar penuh pada tugas
Harus kita tegas sembah
Seluruh rasa belas
Kita datang ini satu roh satu jasad
Bila pulang nanti bawa bakti padat berkat
Kita datang ini satu roh satu jasad
Bila pulang nanti bawa bakti padat berkat

Sacrifice.

" Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice,
and never the result of selfishness "
Napoleon Hill ( 1883-1970 )
American speaker & motivational writer

Have you been in a state of desperation before that you are willing to give up anything so you can have what you want or what you need? When you were in a bind how often you said, " What I wouldn't give for a...." But do we really mean it? Or better yet, would we ever mean it?

Say for instance one of your love ones, your parent, siblings, wife, husband or your child, is terminally ill. You are propositioned that if you give your own life, then your love ones will live a long, healthy, and happy life. Would you do it?

Of course it's very easy to ask and to respond to hypothetical scenarios. But for some people like myself, believes that making difficult choices and sacrifices is the norm. Some sacrifice their social life and money to take care of an ageing parent. Some leave their homeland so that they can provide a better future for their family. Some give up their career to take care for their children. And some give up their life for the country. Me? Well, I've done a few as well, but not to be discussed here because it's never enough. I acquire no merit for that. Just leave it to Allah.

So in desperation or out of necessity, an important and wise decision making is all that we got. It's really subjective according to any given situation, and that's why i think that we should be mindful of the context of each other's choices and sacrifices before we pass judgement.

Often times we put off making life altering decisions, especially ones that alter our life, a sacrifice for another family member is a sacrifice worth making. The truth is - no one will ever know the journey will you travel until you travel it yourself. After all said and done, the choice is yours to make and if it too bold for your current state of affairs, then one should accept and respect it too.

I believe that there's no limit to what we would sacrifice in order to attain what we desperately need. For me, when it comes to my family, there's nothing I wouldn't sacrifice.

What about you?

Is there a limit to your sacrifice?

Awake.

As a citizen, it irks me to see the antics of our politicians both in and out of the government. Every day there will be charges and counter-charges from both ends. It's an open playing field and the rakyat like us are made to take sides, and tonight at 9pm, a debate between Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim ( the PKR's advisor) and Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek ( Minister of Information) will be broadcasted live at TV9. I suppose it's going to be a hot debate.

It's a normal occurrence for one political party to make a police report on the alleged wrongdoing of the other party. The next day, we see the other party filing a police report to counter the charges. It appears the police have no other work but to investigate these reports. The irony of it is that the party questioning the impartiality of the police are entrusting the police to investigate their reports. If the police are to check all these allegations it won't be completed until after the 5 year mandate of BN is over. Meanwhile, robberies, murders, and missing childrens are on the rise.

Pak Lah... wake up... we really need you right now...

It's been four months since our general election and we regular Joes don't want the life we enjoyed to change. But it's apparent that nothing is being done to move in that direction. The question is, who the hell we should trust now? And who is running the government?

I think it's the perfect time for our PM to put his foot down. Break the silence. Wake up and tell the MPs, cabinet members and the BN politicians face to face, to stop these shenanigans. Just ignore the 'barkings' of the opposition, because BN is the ruling government as rakyat has chosen, for 5 more years. Don't screw it up once again or BN will find themselves irrelevant soon. I feel sometimes it's okay to be iron fisted. Just do it for the sake of the people living in this beloved country. Better still find a ground for our common goals. Listen to the rakyat's voice. Make Malaysia a peaceful place to live.
